My band 'Forgonia' has a new album coming out and I think you'd really enjoy it. We have many many influences which are not limited to bands such as Sigur Ros, Pink Floyd, Muse, The Beatles and Elbow. It's hard to send a message like this on the internet without coming across like every other band that's trying to promote themselves, but we're actually trying to do something different.
Some people have used our music to inspire them to create artworks; others just love to put it on, close their eyes and escape. Others just think its good music. We'd love you to go to 'www.myspace.com/forgonia and let us know what you think.
Forgonia is different from other bands and music. The two main members of the band are myself and my brother. Between us we play 95% of the instruments you will hear on our songs. We write music that we want to hear. It’s not a 3minutepop song with a verse, chorus, verse structure. We like songs you can get lost in and that make you feel something when listening to them.
The first two tracks that we have up do this to us and we really hope to find fans that will also feel the same way.
We know that 8 minute songs aren’t for everybody, but we really believe if you have a couple of listens to our songs, you’ll be hooked. Once you are hooked, we really want to create a good community between us, the musicians and you, the fans. We want you to be able to stay in touch with us and let us give you a product you want. We want this to become about more than just the music and we want you to tell us what it is you’d like.
We’d love you too have a listen. The full album should be out soon and we’re very excited about the product we are offering.
